Slipknot cancel Knotfest show at National Bowl in Milton Keynes due to Coronavirus
US metal giants Slipknot have cancelled their touring festival Knotfest which was due to take place at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes in August.
Knotfest is the latest festival to announce it won’t be going ahead this year with the band saying they will only return when safe to do so.

Hide AdIn statement, Slipknot said: “Unfortunately Slipknot’s Summer 2020 touring, including the North American Knotfest Roadshow, Knotfest UK and Knotfest at Sea will not be happening.
“The band looks forward to performing for all its fans again and will do so when everyone’s safety can be assured.
“All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options.”
Although Slipknot's statement doesn't explicitly mention the Coronavirus outbreak, it's understood it is the reason for the event's cancellation.

Hide AdKnotfest was due to take place on August 22 at the outdoor Milton Keynes venue.
No details of a rescheduled date have been revealed.
Despite the festival being announced last year, no other acts had been officially revealed.
It was set to be the first time Slipknot were returning to Milton Keynes since playing as part of Ozzfest in 2001.
Slipknot released their self-titled debut album in 1999 and returned to the top of the Billboard Top 200 in August last year with their latest album - marking the Grammy Award-winning group’s third consecutive number one album on that chart.
