There they encounter the enchanting mermaids, magical fairies and the cruellest pirate of them all, Captain Hook.

Rebecca Gadsby, director of the show said: “Peter Pan has been an absolute joy to work on; for few of us adults get the opportunity todelve into childishness and use our imagination.

“Spending days imagining pirate ships, crocodiles, fairies and mermaids has been a refreshing break from the usual historical research and character psychologies.

“For me, using your imagination is what Peter Pan is about; it is a celebration of youth.

“In our world full of immediate internet information, I worry that childhood is being lost earlier and earlier.

“This show does not do all the work for the audience; adults and children alike will have to use their imagination to believe in the show.

“But that’s exactly how it should be in the theatre. But when they do; when they truly let go and believe in the show it will take them on a magical journey into the imagination.”

Tickets for the show cost between £10 and £14 with the gates opening at 4.30pm. The show starts at 5.30pm. People are advised to bring their own rugs or low backed seating.
