The Moons will release their new single Riding Man next month – the first track from their forthcoming fourth album.

The band, fronted by Northampton native Andy Crofts, recorded their forthcoming LP, currently named Pocket Melodies, at Abbey Road Studios in London last year.

Riding Man is available to pre-order now on limited edition blue vinyl ahead of its release at the end of June.

However, before releasing new music, The Moons are due to digitally release the compilation Home Demos and Rarities Volume 1 at the end of this month.

Crofts is joined in The Moons by drummer Ben Gordelier, bassist Ben Curtis and guitarist Chris Watson.

This summer, Crofts and Gordelier were due to resume their duties in Paul Weller’s band to promote his forthcoming album On Sunset.

However, those shows have been postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Moons formed in 2008 and their fourth LP will follow 2014’s Mindwaves, 2013’s Fables Of History and their 2010 debut Life On Earth.
