Comedian Jason Manford hopes to have Kettering in stitches when he headlines a gig in the town next year.

The Salford-born funnyman will star at an evening put on by the On The Spot Comedy Club at Wicksteed Park on April 15, 2021.

It’s been a busy few years for the 39-year-old since his last smash-hit stand up tour but fans of his Absolute Radio show will know he hasn’t changed a bit.

His CV includes starring in 8 out of 10 Cats, The Nightly Show, Sunday Night at the Palladium, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI and The Royal Variety Performance.

Over the last few years he has fronted a three-hour live show on Absolute Radio every Sunday morning and presented prime-time ITV show What Would Your Kid Do?

When he performs in Kettering he will be supported by self-confessed pessimist Mike Gunn, who recently supported Lee Mack on his national tour.

Also supporting Manford is Tanyalee Davis, who at 3ft 6in tall entertains audiences all over the globe with her own unique perspective and "somewhat racy brand of comedy".

Manford is coming to Kettering a few months after Russell Kane, who is headlining a comedy night in January.
