Acts ready for Raunds festival

The Raunds Music Festival will be bringing a host of roots music and entertainment to the county this weekend.

While there are performances tonight and tomorrow evening, the main festival is on Saturday and Sunday at venues across the town.

Tomorrow night the Ock’n’Roks Big Band and Raunds Ukulele Orchestra will play at Saxon Hall in the town.

The Saturday will be headlined by The Roselly’s, Ciaran Algar and Greg Russell who will be playing at Saxon Hall from 8pm.

During the day there will be traditional dancing at The Square, music drama the Owl & Puss and music by Gilmore & Roberts and Canter Semper.

Sunday will be headlined by Nancy Kerr, James Fagan and The Rachel Hamer Band.

During the day there will be a community concert with the Raunds Temperance Band and Raunds Community Choir and comedy by Keith Donnelly and Sweet F.A.

Performances take place at Saxon Hall, The World Upside Down, Raunds Library and the Town Square.

Full festival weekend tickets cost £57 with admission to individual shows also available.
