Organisers have revealed the first wave of bands lined up to play at the Northampton Music Festival this summer.
Alternative female quartet, Nevermind, and Northampton’s Howlin Hootin Owls will play on the main stage in the Market Square.
Other announced acts include Charlotte Carpenter, Lew Bear, Nixie in the Pond, Velvet Engine, Dr X, Curtis E Johnson, King’s Gambit, Amii Dawes and Hannah Faulkner.
The festival is on June 22.
As well as the main stage in the Market Square there will be blues, folk and gospel at the All Saints Portico, folk acoustic and blues at the NN Courtyard, singer songwriters performing in Abington Street, and emerging, contemporary and alternative music at The Department of Liquor and Social Affairs in Bridge Street. BBC Introducing is also putting together a hip hop showcase.
In the coming weeks, organisers will be adding more names to the line-up, as well as the main stage headliner.
