Kinky Boots The Musical, Royal & Derngate, Northampton, until October 6
Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots takes you from a gentlemen’s shoe factory in Northampton to the glamorous catwalks of Milan. Charlie Price is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business of Price & Son. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely but spectacular form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
The Lovely Bones, Royal & Derngate, Northampton, until September 22
Susie Salmon is just like any other young girl. She wants to be beautiful, adores her charm bracelet and has a crush on a boy from school. There’s one big difference though – Susie is dead. This is a world premiere of the stage adaptation.
Love in a Mist, Playhouse Theatre, Northampton, until September 22
Newlyweds Pat and Nigel get lost in the mist and end up trapped in a cottage owned by Mr and Mrs Evans, which also happens to be a duck
farm. Following the arrival of Rose and Howard, also lost, and on a dirty weekend, the six find themselves trapped with only poultry journals for company, and more importantly, limited sleeping arrangements.
The Crucible, Sharnbrook Mill Theatre, until September 22
Transport yourself back to 17th century America, with a gripping and enthralling adaption of this Arthur Miller classic. This is a stirring drama about the Salem witch trials of the 1690s, which focuses on betrayal, ambition and religious persecution.
Joe Pasquale, Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, September 21
Joe Pasquale burst on to our TV screens 30 years ago on ITV’s New Faces. He comes to Kettering to celebrate his anniversary.

Autumn Food Fair, Abington Park Museum, Northampton, September 22
More than 30 food and drink producers from across the county will showcase their culinary delights. It will feature a range of delicious products, including local cheeses, artisan breads, vegetable sushi, savoury pies, oriental sauces and chutneys.
Poltergeist, Stanwick Lakes, September 22
A late night screening of this classic ghostly movie from the 1980s will be shown. A family’s home is haunted by a host of ghosts with a story by Steven Spielberg.
As You Like It, Kettering Arts Centre, September 22
Welcome to the Forest of Arden, a world of clowns, lovers, runaways and rebels. The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons present their innovative and hilarious version of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, with folky, foot-stomping live music and their own inimitable brand of buffoonery.
Fastlove - George Michael tribute, Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, September 23
The show is packed with crowd pleasing anthems from the Wham classics of the new pop revival to the chart-topping success of the 80s album Faith, plus the awesome tunes of the 90s and noughties.
Dinosaur World, The Core at Corby Cube, September 26-27
Grab your compass and join an intrepid explorer across uncharted territories to discover a prehistoric world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs. Meet a host of impressive creatures, including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus. Children can meet the dinosaurs after the show.
