And he has urged his Aviva Premiership table-topping side to focus on getting their own house in order at the Kassam Stadium on Sunday.

But forwards coach West is refusing to let past results enter the psyche of his players and has warned them not to let complacency creep in.

“You can’t underestimate anybody in the league - every game’s a tough one,” he said.

“Away from home at London Welsh, we’ve said to the lads all week that it doesn’t matter what anybody else has done against them, it’s about how we prepare, how we play, the intensity we show and the desire to win games.

“We’ll be going there knowing they’ll be fighting for their lives, desperate to get our scalp, particularly with us being champions last year.

“We need to be at our best and we can’t take anything for granted. We’ve prepared properly this past few days and we’re happy with what we’ve done.

“Our messages to the lads all week is that it’s about us and we don’t want to be the first team that London Welsh beat this season.

“That’s the message we’ve been drumming in, we’ve trained really well and we need to be at our best.”
