Waller insists Saints will get it right for Bath showdown

Alex Waller has stressed Saints will iron out their issues in the build-up to Saturday’s huge battle at Bath.

Jim Mallinder’s men were disappointed with their display in Friday night’s clash with London Irish at Franklin’s Gardens.

But they were still able to boast a 15-9 win, which put them five points clear of Bath, who play at Saracens today (Sunday).

And while he is eager to take the positives from the Irish performance, Waller is adamant he and his team-mates will improve for the top-of-the-table clash.

“A win is a win, if we’re going to look at a positive,” said the prop.

“We didn’t play as well as we should have on Friday. We didn’t perform like we should and we’re not very happy with ourselves in that respect.

“But good sides win ugly and that’s the main thing to take from it.

“There’s a lot of work-ons for Monday morning and we’ll address those when we come to them.

“There’s disappointment in the camp, but if you look at the bigger picture we’ve won and we’re top of the league.”
