And they will now be desperate to improve their league standing, with Jim Mallinder’s men currently sitting 10th in the table.

“It was massive for us,” said Tuala, reflecting on the win at Glasgow.

“We knew we had to come up here and put in a good performance, and I thought we did.

“We defended really well and the set piece went really well. We executed it well.”

And he added: “It’s a massive boost for us.”

“We can take this on and we’ve shifted some momentum into the game against Gloucester.

“It’s a big game for us and it should be a good one under the lights.”
