Burrell was rested for last Friday’s 52-30 Aviva Premiership win against Wasps, which Pisi and Day both played in.

The Samoan centre was forced off after just six minutes with a broken finger, while Day was withdrawn at half-time with a hamstring strain.

But Mallinder has confirmed all three players are fit and raring to go for Champions Cup quarter-final in France.

“They are fine, both recovered,” said the Saints boss on Pisi and Day. “They are fully fit, trained today and looking forward to it.”

And on Burrell, he added: “We thought he need a bit of a week off.

“He has played a lot games over the Six Nations, some very high intense competitive games, so it was good for him to have a little bit of time off. He’s raring to go.”
