But the Samoan centre is aware the two points picked up at Welford Road could prove crucial come the end of the season.

Saints surrendered a 10-point lead as the Tigers came roaring back to level the scores in the final 10 minutes.

However, the result ensured Northampton remained above Leicester in the Aviva Premiership table on points difference.

And Pisi said: “It does feel like we lost and you’re never really happy with a draw, but we’ll take the points because they are quite crucial.

“We wanted to go out and play with the ball and use our strength with ball in hand.

“As you can see they’ve got a big pack and some big players so if we could use the ball a bit more we could tire them out. Credit to Leicester, they played really well and kept at it.

“With top teams like them, it’s something we can build on.

“There’s a lot of belief in the boys. We have a lot of confidence in going away and putting in performances we want to put on.”
