Saints trio released by England ahead of Ireland clash

Courtney Lawes has been left out of England's squad for Saturday's Six Nations showdown with Ireland at Twickenham.

And Luther Burrell will also be available for Saints’ Aviva Premiership clash with Worcester Warriors at Franklin’s Gardens after he was also released.

Kieran Brookes is another Northampton player missing out on England action, meaning Dylan Hartley and Paul Hill are the only Saints stars in the 23 for the Ireland encounter.

Lawes had played a part in the wins against Scotland and Italy, but head coach Eddie Jones has opted to leave him out this time round.

George Kruis, Joe Launchbury and Maro Itoje are the men capable of covering the second row positions.
