Saints star Corbisiero ready to make return from injury

Corbisiero sustained the problem in Northampton’s Heineken Cup defeat to Castres last month.

It meant he was sidelined for his club’s games against Ospreys and Saracens, as well as missing England’s win against Australia at Twickenham last weekend.

But the former London Irish loosehead returned to training on Tuesday and is in contention for a place in the squad for Saturday’s Test against the Pumas.

“Both trained this morning,” said England forwards coach Graham Rowntree when asked about the fitness of Corbisiero and Leicester Tigers lock Geoff Parling.

“Alex had a great session this morning, as did Geoff as well. So yes, they will be available for selection. They made a big impact on training.”
