Saints set to remain without key men for Bath clash

Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Courtney Lawes, Calum Clark and James Wilson have all been missing during the past few weeks.

Wilson (arm) and Clark (shoulder) are long-term absentees, while Corbisiero has yet to play a competitive game this season due to a series of niggling injuries.

Lawes has been nursing a knee problem since the defeat at Sale, while Hartley has been missing since sustaining concussion in the defeat to Saracens on November 7.

And when asked whether Saints would be able to welcome any of their sidelined stars back this weekend, assistant coach Alan Dickens said: “No one’s come back yet.

“A few of them are on the edge (of a return) in the next few weeks and we’re getting there.”

Saints have been coping admirably without a plethora of important players, especially up front.

They have bullied Scarlets, Glasgow Warriors and Gloucester on their way to claiming three successive wins.

And Dickens said: “You’ve seen that we’ve got some good players, players who can come in off the bench.

“Teimana Harrison has done that in the past couple of weeks and those sorts of players train with us week in, week out. They’re around the squad so they know what we do.

“They are all able to slot in and they don’t look out of place.”
