Saints sent to Coventry for Premiership Rugby 7s

Saints will travel to the Ricoh Arena on August 21 for this year’s Singha Premiership Rugby 7s.

Wasps’ new home will play host to Group B, with Saracens and Harlequins also being sent to Coventry.

The four sides were pooled together in 2014, with Saints and Quins progressing from an action-packed leg at Franklin’s Gardens.

Saints went on to suffer a heavy finals day defeat to eventual champions Gloucester at The Stoop.

The first leg of the 2015 7s competition will take place at Kingsholm on August 20, with Gloucester, Bath, Gloucester and London Irish in attendance.

The third leg will be held at Newcastle’s Kingston Park with the Falcons taking on Leicester Tigers, London Welsh and Sale Sharks in Group C on August 22.

It has also been agreed for the Welsh regions to enter the 7s series for the second year with an announcement on a Welsh date and venue to follow.

All of the games will be shown live on BT Sport with finals day taking place at The Stoop on Friday, August 28.
