England Saxons EPS members Myler and Burrell join Dylan Hartley, Courtney Lawes, Tom Wood and Lee Dickson in staking their claim for selection for the tournament opener in France on February 1.

Myler, who won his first England cap on the tour of Argentina last summer, is one of three fly-halves training with the Six Nations squad, replacing Gloucester’s Freddie Burns, who will play for the England Saxons in a bid to rediscover his form.

Uncapped centre Burrell comes in as one of eight injury replacements, with Ben Foden and Alex Corbisiero among those on the list of EPS players missing.

Neither Burrell or Myler have been officially added to the EPS squad, with only one change being made to that: Bath’s George Ford replacing Leicester’s Toby Flood.

Meanwhile, Saints No.8 Sam Dickinson has capped a remarkable rise to prominence by being handed a place in the England Saxons EPS squad.

He joins Northampton team-mates Calum Clark, Myler and Burrell on that list.

Saints also have five members in the England Under 20s EPS squad, with Tom Collins, Tom Stephenson, Howard Packman, Sam Olver and Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi named ahead of the Under 20s Six Nations, which begins on January 31.
