Saints forwards coach West plays down seriousness of Corbisiero knee injury
Corbisiero sustained a knee problem in Saints’ defeat at Castres last weekend, with an opposition player falling awkwardly on him.
It has left the England prop needing to have fluid drained from the affected area, meaning he will miss Saints’ game against Ospreys on Sunday and is a doubt for his country’s upcoming QBE Internationals.

“Alex picked up a knock in the game last week, where somebody fell across his leg and we expect him to be out for a couple of weeks, possibly four,” said the Northampton forwards coach.
“You don’t quite know with these things but the medics are on top of things these days and they get them back reasonably quickly.
“Hopefully he’ll respond to the treatment we give him and he won’t be out for that long.”

“He’s in the best of hands with us and the England medics and they’ll look after him and make sure he’s back on the pitch as soon as possible.”
