Saints fly-half Lamb set for Leicester move

Saints fly-half Ryan Lamb has agreed to sign for Leicester Tigers, the Leicester Mercury are reporting.

Lamb, who joined Northampton from London Irish in 2011, is seen as a replacement for Bath-bound George Ford at Welford Road.

The 26-year-old has failed to make the Saints fly-half spot his own, sitting behind Stephen Myler in the pecking order at Franklin’s Gardens.

Lamb has often divided opinion due to his enigmatic style and was subject to some boos from the Gardens faithful earlier this season.

But he has clearly done enough to impress the Leicester Tigers management, who will hand Lamb the chance to battle it out with Toby Flood for the No.10 shirt next season.
