North returns to Saints full of confidence after scoring two tries for Wales against Australia last weekend.

The 21-year-old hasn’t played for his club since October 20 and will be raring to go in the crucial Heineken Cup encounter at Franklin’s Gardens.

Backs coach King is happy to have North back and is hoping for great things from the powerhouse wing, and the rest of the team.

“In these games you need your best players playing and George, after his two tries against Australia, is full of confidence,” said King.

“We’ll need him this weekend if we want to put a big performance in against Leinster.”

In North’s absence, the likes of Ken Pisi and Tom Collins, who scored his first senior try in the win at Worcester last weekend, have stepped up to the plate.

And King was quick to praise those players, who he believes Saints are fortunate to have in their ranks.

“I take my hat off to guys like Tom Collins, Jamie Elliott, Ken Pisi in the way they’ve played this season,” he said. “We’re lucky we’ve got good strength in the wing position.

“As for George North, he is obviously a world class player and you want to have him in your team.”
