Saints announce new deals for five star backs

Ben Foden, Jamie Elliott, Luther Burrell, Ken Pisi and Lee Dickson have all committed their futures to Northampton.

The quintet of renewals come just a week after five forwards re-signed, with Tom Wood, Sam Dickinson, Christian Day, Ben Nutley and Mike Haywood agreeing new contracts.

And Saints boss Jim Mallinder couldn’t be happier to have so many of his squad already tied down for next season and beyond.

“We’re delighted that all five players have signed new contracts with us,” said Mallinder.

“They have all come a long way in their time with us and are recognised as being some of the best players in their positions in the country, and retaining all of them was one of our main priorities.

“It is important that we have a group of quality players who understand our culture and what we are trying to achieve, and Ben, Lee, Luther, Ken and Jamie all fit into that category.”
