Saints have been forced to close their training ground after recording a number of positive tests this week. They also had further players unavailable for selection due to the contact tracing process.

Training has been cancelled until the next round of testing, which is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 11.

The players involved have already begun a 10-day isolation period in accordance with the guidelines set out by Public Health England.

One player had tested positive last week but Saints were still set to face London Irish before the club from the Brentford Community Stadium were forced to pull the plug on last Sunday's fixture due to a significant number of Covid cases in their own squad.

That meant Chris Boyd's men claimed four points from the game, with Irish getting two.

But Saints are now set to be the ones gathering two Premiership points, with Leicester getting four due to this outbreak at the Gardens.
