Saints' Boxing Day battle with Worcester moves back behind closed doors

The black, green and gold will go back behind closed doors for the big festive fixture against Worcester Warriors.

That will leave supporters hugely disappointed as Saints were hoping to have up to 2,000 fans cheering them on against the Warriors.

But supporters are not allowed to attend games in Tier 3 areas.

It means Saints will finish the year having only been watched by fans at the Gardens once since the end of February.

The Champions Cup game against Bordeaux was deemed a success as fans safely enjoyed watching their side at the Gardens.

But it is now unclear when they will be able to do so again as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc across the country and beyond.
