The 26-year-old is leaving Bedford Blues this summer and will continue to ply his trade in England's second tier next season, at Allianz Park.

Hooley made 14 first-team appearances for Saints after coming through the club's Academy.

He played a part in the sensational double-winning season of 2013/14 at Franklin's Gardens but eventually departed in 2015.

Hooley made the move to Exeter Chiefs, staying at Sandy Park until 2017, when he joined Bedford.

He featured for the USA at the World Cup in Japan last year and will now look to help Saracens rebuild after their relegation from the Gallagher Premiership, which was enforced due to breaches of salary cap regulations.

“It was such an easy decision for me to make the move to Saracens,” said Hooley.

“Everything the club has built over the years, both on and off the field, is something to be admired.

“Ultimately, I wanted to test myself and challenge myself and I’ll do that around some of the best players in the world, some of the best youngsters.

“I’ve been craving to get back to that elite, everyday environment and Sarries is probably one of the best in Europe, probably one of the best in the world, so overall for my career this is a great move.

“It’s an honour to be here and I’m thoroughly looking forward to it.”

Hooley has won 15 caps for the USA and will hope to be playing in England's top tier again in the not too distant future.

Saracens boss Mark McCall said: “We are excited to welcome Will to the Saracens family.

“He will bring a wealth of experience having played in the Premiership, more recently in the Championship and at a World Cup.

“Will is ambitious to move his game forward and we look forward to helping him do that at the club.”
