Saints star Ben Foden says his ankle operation went well and he is now on the road to recovery.
Foden had surgery on Tuesday afternoon to repair the ligament damage sustained in a clash with Bath winger Tom Biggs in the recent clash at The Recreation Ground.
The full-back is expected to be out for around 12 weeks with the injury, which has ensured he will miss a number of key Saints games as well as England’s autumn international series.
But Foden is remaining upbeat as he begins the recovery process and he tweeted: “I’m alive! A little groggy but everything seems to have gone well, a few little surprises but nothing major! On the road to recovery! #fixup”
