Exeter Chiefs v Northampton Saints: Confirmed team news for Sunday's Champions Cup clash

Manny Iyogun starts at Sandy Park on Sunday

The 19-year-old came off the bench during the first half of last weekend's defeat to Leicester Tigers after Francois van Wyk became the fourth Saints senior loosehead prop to suffer an injury.

That left the black, green and gold very short for the trip to Sandy Park, and EPCR this week changed the rules so that Gloucester loanee Alex Seville could join the squad.

But with 22-year-old Seville having only arrived today, Iyogun will get the start this weekend.

On the other side of the scrum, Saints have selected the hugely experienced Owen Franks, with Mike Haywood the man in the middle.

David Ribbans is again partnered by Api Ratuniyarawa in the second row, while Courtney Lawes, Lewis Ludlam and Teimana Harrison make up the back row once more.

Henry Taylor, who came off the bench to score against Leicester last Sunday, gets the start at scrum-half, with Alex Mitchell among the replacements.

Matt Proctor moves from centre to the wing as Taqele Naiyaravoro drops to the bench, with Fraser Dingwall coming in at 13.

Saints have a lengthy injury list this weekend with van Wyk (knee), Nick Auterac (hip flexor), Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi (achilles), Alex Coles (ankle), Tom Collins (foot), Harry Mallinder (knee), Ollie Sleightholme (hamstring), Piers Francis (shin), Connor Tupai (wrist), Alex Waller (achilles) and Tom Wood (pulmonary embolism) all sidelined.

Team news for the Chiefs sees Baxter go with a fully-loaded line-up, which includes Ian Whitten in the centre.

The Irishman is set to feature in his 50th Champions Cup fixture and will be joined in the back division by the fit-again Tom O’Flaherty.
