Chris Boyd has allayed injury fears over Api Ratuniyarawa and Matt Proctor.

Both players were added to the injury list prior to Saturday's 22-17 win at Wasps.

But Boyd is hopeful that lock Ratuniyarawa and centre Proctor could be ready to face Newcastle Falcons at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday.

"I'd be surprised if Api's not available for selection next week," Boyd said.

"Matt Proctor will be close.

"They were both minor niggles rather than major injuries."

But Teimana Harrison will not be available to face Newcastle as he continues to nurse a hand injury.

Boyd said: "Teimana's finger is out of a splint and he's probably still three or four weeks away, I'd imagine."

Saints picked up a couple of problems during the win at Wasps, with both Alex Moon and Owen Franks forced off with head injuries.

Boyd said: "Moony failed a concussion test so we'll have to make some choices in the locks.

"Owen took a head knock so I hope he's fine.

"It doesn't happen to him very often so hopefully he'll be okay.

"Hilly (Paul Hill) put in a pretty good shift and we had five weeks off so everyone's pretty fresh at the moment."
