Heavy rain showers saw many games across the 12 divisions abandoned, but ONs managed to get a truncated game in at Geddington, and won by 19 runs.

The Billing Road side won the toss and batted, and although Rob White clubbed 77 from 80 balls, they were in a bit of bother at 98 for six.

Skipper Tom Hafil then stepped up with 35 from 40 balls and a quickfire 37 from 24 balls by Paul Harris saw the Northampton side bowled out for 224 in their 40 overs.

Rain meant Geddington's target was reduced to 146 from 24 overs, and despite 49 from just 39 balls from Jack Parker and 32 from 33 balls from Northants man Ricardo Vasconcelos, they fell short at 126 for seven.

Amrit Basra took some tap as he went for 45 from four overs, but he also claimed three wickets, while Tom Webb took two for 20.

ONs are joint top of the table with Desborough, who got a full game in as they saw off Brixworth by six wickets.

Brixworth were dismissed for 172 with Alex Lacey (41), Muhammed Qureshi (40) and Harry Gouldstone (38) all making decent contributions.

Desborough then eased to 173 from 32 overs, mainly thanks to 56 from Wayne Steed, with George Napier nipping in for two for 39.

Peterborough were left frustrated as they were in a very good position when their match at Horton House fell victim to the weather.

Ewan Cox hit 67 for Horton, but the rest of the batting crumbled as they were rushed out for 123 in 31.3 overs.

The match between Overstone Park and Rushden & Higham was also abandoned, with Park on top at the time.

When the weather won the day, Rushden were 26 for two in reply to Overstone's 173 for nine, in which openers Charles Edwards (54) and James Sales (50) both hitting half-centuries.

They were at one point 92 without loss until Callum Nicholson (5-32) got to work.
