The fly-half is looking forward to forming a partnership with Fotuali’i, who moved to Northampton from Ospreys this summer.

The Samoan scrum-half is one of the hottest properties in world rugby, impressing in the Heineken Cup and RaboDirect PRO12 last season and for the Barbarians against the Lions during the summer.

Myler is relishing working with Fotuali’i and England team-mate Lee Dickson this season and is excited about what lies ahead with the two talented No.9s.

“Obviously I’ve played with Lee for a long time and we know each other inside and out,” said Myler, who scored a try in Saints’ Premiership final defeat to Leicester in May.

“Kahn coming in, I’ve seen him play and he’s a very good player. He’s experienced as well.

“We’ve strengthened our squad and Kahn is one of those guys who is definitely going to add something to us.

“It’s player like Kahn we need to come in and boost our team when we’re playing and hopefully take us to that next level.”
