Charley Hull shot a four-under-par 68 to sit in joint 11th place after the first round of the European Masters.
The 17-year-old from Kettering is playing her first competition in this country since turning professional.
And she made the perfect start.
Beginning her round on the 10th, she posted an eagle three on the 504-yard hole.
She then followed that up with back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17 before dropping the only shot of her round on 18.
A solid second nine brought her back to the clubhouse with eight pars and one birdie to give her a solid opening to the competition.
Caroline Masson and Ashleigh Simon are the joint leaders after the opening day.
They shot nine-under-par 63s to head the competition by three shots.
