Kevin Painter and the rest of the McCoy’s Premier League Darts players are aiming to conquer the music business after recording a charity single.
The darts stars have teamed up with Chas Hodges – best known for being one half of Chas & Dave – to record the single which is called ‘Got My Ticket For The Darts’.
It will be released exclusively on iTunes on Friday, May 18 after being given its first airing at the Premier League play-offs at the O2 Arena in London on the previous day.
Proceeds from the single will be donated to the Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Daventry player Painter said: “It was a lot of fun.
“We were all completely out of our comfort zones but hopefully it will raise a lot of money for the hospice.
“I have got a feeling it might not go to number one in the charts, mainly because there was only one guy involved who can sing.
“But it was great fun and we all want it to do well and raise a big sum that will go to such a good cause.”
