Kyren Wilson has booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters.
The Kettering star’s superb run in China continued as he claimed an excellent 5-1 victory over world number 22 Michael Holt this morning (Thursday).
Wilson raced into a 3-1 lead before Holt pulled a frame back. But the 23-year-old won the next two to seal a spot in the last eight.
The Kettering player will face either Ding Junghui or Ryan Day in the quarter-finals as they play their second-round match at lunchtime today.
Wilson and David Grace, meanwhile, visited aspiring young snooker players at Shanghai Huimin Middle School earlier this week.
Wilson and Grace met children at the school and gave them tips on improving their snooker skills.
