Corby members crowned world champions

Four members of Corby Kung Fu and Kickboxing Club have been crowned world champions.

Alex Barrowman junior was a double winner in Spain in the 70kg points fighting and light contact events.

Kev Williams (70kg points fighting), Jo Redman (70kg ladies light contact) and Lee Murray (60kg light contact) also won the titles.

Cat Harris won bronze in the 65kg ladies points fighting.

Ritchie Wooton was beaten in the quarter-finals on a split decision against the eventual champion.

Katie Grant lost on points to the world champion in the first round.

The fighters, coached by the England team manager Alex Barrowman senior, attended the World Kickboxing Council event in Cadiz.
