There was little basketball action last weekend due to England training camps and only two Northamptonshire Titans games were scheduled.

In the EBL Under-14 Boys Midlands Conference, the Titans travelled to Derby to take on the Trailblazers and once they had taken a 53-22 lead at half-time they never looked back.

The bench was rotated fully with everyone able to contribute to what turned out to be another relatively easy 88-58 success.

The top scorers for Titans were Trei St Vie Hutchinson (19), Keenan Salmon (17), Elliot Farrar (15) and CJ Chateris (15).

The Titans ladies travelled to take on Birmingham Mets in the EBL Division Two Women SW Midlands but were unable to find the pace to keep up with their hosts as they slipped to an 80-66 defeat.

There is a full programme of action for the Titans this weekend.

On Saturday, the under-14 boys take on Notts Nova at Weavers Leisure Centre in Wellingborough at 12.30pm. The under-13s travel to London Feltham Warriors (1pm) while the under-15s are at Northants Thunder (1.30pm). The men’s team are also on the road as they head to Solent Kestrels.

On Sunday, the under-16s face Notts Nova at Northampton Academy (11.45am) and that will be followed by the women’s team taking on Leicester Warriors (2pm). The under-14s are straight back into action as they head to Derby Trailblazers (12.15pm).
