The relegated Steelmen suffered a 5-0 defeat at Harrogate Town on the final day of the season on Saturday.

But Wright is already looking ahead as he begins his plans to try to bring the club back up at the first attempt.

It remains to be seen what league the Steelmen will be in with Wright already hinting that they could be heading for the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League instead of a return to the Southern League Premier Division.

Either way, the Corby boss is already looking at his options as far as the squad is concerned.

And he is hoping further news that is set to come out of the club over the next few weeks will help restore some “good feeling” after a campaign to forget.

“There are obviously players at the club that I want to keep and there are players away from the club that I want to bring in so that work begins now,” Wright said.

“I have already spoken of my plans to make the first-team more full-time next season and I do believe that will make us stronger.

“There is a lot going on behind the scenes and I am sure more will come out of the club over the next couple of weeks or so.

“It’s been a very tough season but we are all looking forward to challenge in front of us.

“And hopefully, the things that will be revealed over the next few weeks will help restore that good feeling and ensure our fans are looking forward to when we come back in July.”
