Another crucial night lies ahead for Wellingborough Town and Stewarts & Lloyds as they look to continue to haul themselves away from danger at the bottom of the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.
The picture is looking a lot better for the local clubs after a weekend which saw the Doughboys claim a 1-1 draw at Yaxley, despite having goalkeeper Michael Freeman sent off while S&L fought back to beat fellow strugglers AFC Kempston 2-1 at Occupation Road.
And both teams have huge matches tonight against sides also in and around the relegation zone. Wellingborough head to Harborough Town looking to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games but will be up against a Harborough outfit who have also enjoyed a decent run of late to move themselves away from trouble.
S&L, meanwhile, host Sleaford Town, who now sit just a point above the relegation zone with the Corby side a further point in front.
Desborough Town are also in action on home territory as they take on Boston Town at the Waterworks Field. Steve Walker’s team are comfortable in mid-table but are currently without a win in 11.
There is also another busy evening of action in Division One and promotion hopefuls AFC Rushden & Diamonds will, no doubt, be keeping a close eye on what happens at Oadby as they play the first of two games in hand against Bugbrooke. Diamonds and leaders Sileby are clear at the top but Oadby could move level on points with them by winning both of their remaining games in hand.
There is a local derby at Hayden Road as Rushden & Higham will look to continue their recent good form when they take on Rothwell Corinthians.
Elsewhere, bottom side Burton Park Wanderers, who are drew 1-1 with Whitworth at the weekend, host Olney Town while the Flourmen entertain Northampton Spencer at London Road.
Thrapston Town, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their weekend defeat to Olney when they take on Buckingham Town at Chancery Lane.
