Table-topping Diamonds still have work to do
A superb Ryan Robbins hat-trick fired Peaks’ team to an eighth win in a row as they followed up a 1-0 success at Hanwell Town last Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Kempston Rovers at Hayden Road on Boxing Day.
Diamonds sit two points clear at the summit as they gear up for a derby clash at Bedford Town this afternoon (Monday, 3pm).

“I have said week after week that this team was capable of winning game after game and I think I have been proved right,” the Diamonds boss said.
“We have got a lot of good players and as long as they keep their feet on the ground and keep working hard, which they will, there’s no reason why we can’t keep winning games.
“I have always said that the time to start looking at the league table is after Christmas and we are exactly where we want to be, I am delighted with it.

Peaks, meanwhile, insists his team’s approach won’t change for today's derby clash.
“It’s a local derby to look forward to at Bedford but, for me, every team is up for it against us.,” Peaks added.
“Every game becomes a cup final so the local derby element doesn’t really come into it. We just prepare for every game in the same way.”
