Mark Peters will have to wait to take charge of Corby for the first time after his surprise return as the club’s manager this week following the departure of Ashley Robinson as the Steelmen’s clash at Kempston Rovers was called off this morning (Saturday).

It’s now been three weeks since Kettering enjoyed some match action and they will have to wait a little bit longer after their Vanarama National League North encounter at Blyth Spartans was postponed last night.

And Diamonds’ home clash with fellow BetVictor Southern League Premier Central rivals Rushall Olympic was the last to go this morning with the Hayden Road surface also waterlogged.

Diamonds are due to be back in action on Tuesday night with a trip to high-flying Royston Town.

All of the local clubs in the United Counties League have also seen their games wiped out after the heavy rain of the past 24 hours.
