The Steelmen had their impressive run in the competition ended at the hands of Vanarama National League North side Stockport County at the weekend as they went down 3-0 at Edgeley Park in the third qualifying round tie. It’s back to Evo-Stik League South Division One Central duty for Kinniburgh’s men this evening as they make the short trip to Bedford Town.Corby remain unbeaten in the league this season and the manager has called on his team to do a “professional job” at The Eyrie.“As far as starts to the season go, we have had a good one,” Kinniburgh said.“You always get a good feeling about the place when you have a good cup run and that has been the case here, especially with the club having struggled in the FA Cup recently.“We knew it would come to an end eventually and it ended against a very professional outfit but I thought we did extremely well against them and matched them for long periods as well as having a couple of good chances ourselves.“We have enjoyed that run but now it is back to reality. It is only October and we have a long season ahead of us.“We need to bounce back tonight and make sure there is no hangover.“I believe Bedford are a team who will be up there towards the top end of the table, they have got nine points from five games and they are a good run away from being right in the thick of things.“Going away from home on Tuesday night and playing against a tough team, it all comes down to us having the right mindset.“We need to go there, make sure we do a really professional job and turn up and do what we have been doing this season.”The Steelmen will be boosted by the return of Jordon Crawford after he missed Saturday’s clash at Stockport due to suspension.
