Defender Brad Gascoigned as returned for a third spell with the Steelmen while midfielder Reece Webb and winger Femi Orenuga have also agreed one-year contracts ahead of the new season, which looks set to see the club compete in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.

And, in a further boost, young midfielder Danny Draper, who has come through the club’s academy has also signed up for the new campaign.

Wright and his squad will be training full-time in line with the academy once they return for pre-season.

And the Steelmen boss is happy with his early moves in the transfer market.

Webb is a product of the Birmingham City Academy and played for Willenhall Town after being released by the Blues last summer while Gascoigne has had spells with the likes of Sutton United, Stalybridge Celtic, Rushall Olympic, Worksop Town and Stamford.

Orenuga started his career at Southend United and then earned a move to Premier League side Everton for a reported £30,000 in 2009.

After three years with the Toffees and a loan spell at Notts County the talented winger then joined AFC Telford United, spending two seasons at the New Bucks Head. He has also enjoyed spells at Whitehawk, Raufoss in Norway, Gloucester City and Wealdstone.

Wright said: “I am delighted to have secured Danny on a contract for the coming season.

“After ending the season as the first team captain his performances generated interest from Championship and Football League clubs.

“He’s a local lad with a lot of promise, but the hard work starts now. We are all expecting big things from him.

“I am really looking forward to working with Reece and cannot wait to see what he can do in a Corby Town shirt this season.

“He is a tough tackling midfielder with a great range of passing and has the ability to be a big player for us.

“Brad returns with unfinished business, intent on hitting the heights of his first spell which nearly earned him a move to Greenock Morton.

“He is a tall, ball playing defender with great pedigree, who will relish playing full-time with us.

“We are delighted to have secured his signature.”
