Central defender Jamie Tank and striker Stefan Moore, two players signed by boss Gary Mills in recent weeks, both missed last weekend’s 4-1 home defeat to leaders Rushall Olympic.

The defeat left the Steelmen 12 points adrift of safety as they remain rooted to the foot of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division.

They have been boosted by the return of midfielder Ben Milnes in the last couple of weeks and he was on target with their goal against Rushall but was then withdrawn with 12 minutes to play.

Mills is now hoping all three will prove their fitness before the clash with Workington.

The Steelmen boss said: “We are going to wrap those three up in cotton wool.

“Jamie and Stefan obviously missed out last weekend and we are hopeful that they will be back.

“Ben has only just come back from an injury so we have to be careful with him,

“He came off with a bit of soreness and we will look after him and try to make sure he is fit.”

Corby are once again set to include Tyler Blake in their squad this weekend.

The versatile striker, who signed a professional deal with Mansfield Town in the summer, has joined the Steelmen on loan from the Sky Bet League Two club.
