Ian Sampson believes things are starting to “come together” for Corby Town.
And the Steelmen boss has hinted there could be more “surprise” signings on the way.
Sampson pulled off something of a coup by clinching the signing of experienced striker Leon McKenzie, whom he worked with at Northampton Town.
That followed the news that Sam Ives and Nathan Fox have also signed up for the Blue Square Bet North campaign.
Sampson is hopeful more arrivals will follow but he believes his squad is now beginning to take shape.
“We have a nice mix of experience and youth in there at the moment,” the Corby boss said.
“We are, by no means, the finished article but if feels like a bit of progress has been made.
“There are a couple of others that we are looking at but they are players who are hedging their bets at the moment.
“We will keep working on it and if I can get the ones I want then there may well be a couple more surprises for people.”
