Jordon Crawford, Ben Bradshaw and Elliot Sandy all scored twice while Joel Carta and an own-goal wrapped up a sensational win, which lifted the Steelmen up to second in the Evo-Stik League South Division One Central.

Assistant-manager Robinson took charge with boss Steve Kinniburgh away doing his coaching badges and was left delighted with what he saw.

“I am extremely proud of the players,” said Robinson, who will also be at the helm for Tuesday’s NFA Hillier Senior Cup first-round clash at Whitworth on Tuesday night.

“I think everyone performed well from one to 11 and the boys who came on really did us proud.

“I challenge them before the game and again at half-time to make a statement to the league and, do you know what? They have done. If we perform like that every week, we are not going to be far wrong.

“Goal difference is something we have spoken about. We have had plenty of chances this season and I said it after three games that one of these days a team is going to get a thumping and now it has happened.

“It all clicked into place. We were doing things in the right areas, playing balls at the right times and they got the rewards.

“We don’t fear anyone and we have enough ability in that dressing-room to beat anyone we come up against.

“The lads are on fire at the moment and I want them to take the momentum into Tuesday and then into Saturday (at Alvechurch in the FA Cup) as well.”

Robinson, meanwhile, reserved special praise for Crawford who grabbed his first goals of the season in the big success.

“Jordon was fantastic for us, he played the ball in the right areas and got the rewards for it,” he added.

“His work-rate has been fantastic all season and he has come off with two goals and in my eyes, I think he was the man-of-the-match.”
