Ramshaw feels Kettering Town are heading 'in the right direction'
John Ramshaw felt a sense of perspective was needed after Kettering Town were forced to settle for another draw in the Vanarama National League North last night (Tuesday).
Two goals in the space of a minute towards the end of the first half from Connor Kennedy and Decarrey Sheriff put the Poppies 2-0 up at much-fancied Boston United.

That made it four draws in a row for Kettering in the league and, in the last two at Brackley and Boston, they led before having to settle for one point instead of three.
“Let’s put things into perspective,” Kettering’s assistant-manager Ramshaw said.
“Boston are a massive club, with a massive wage bill and they have a lot of contracted players.

“Are we disappointed? Yes, I guess we are a little bit but the reality is that if somebody offers you a point away from home at kick-off then you’d probably take it.
“We have now had three games away from home on the bounce and haven’t lost, which I think is commendable.
“I would like to think we are moving in the right direction. We still have work to do but we are going the right way.”

And Ramshaw was impressed with what he saw from the frontman after he came off the bench for the last 25 minutes.
“He did very well,” Ramshaw added.
“He is a big lad, a big unit. He went on for Kyle Perry for the last 20 minutes or so when Kyle was just starting to tire.
“He flicked things on and won bits and he is a clever player, his movement is good.
“He worked with the gaffer (Paul Cox) at Barrow, he’s got a good pedigree and we are excited about having him on loan with us.”
