The Poppies got back to winning ways in the Evo-Stik South League Premier as they beat bottom side Gosport Borough 2-0 at Latimer Park on Saturday.

But they are now back on the road with the clash with the Puritans being followed by a trip to Frome Town at the weekend.

Banbury were knocked out of the FA Trophy by Farnborough at the weekend while the first clash with the Poppies earlier this season saw Law’s men run out comfortable 3-0 winners at Latimer Park.

But the Kettering boss is taking nothing for granted as his team bid to maintain their lofty position in the table.

Law said: “They (Banbury) will be looking to turn things around from that earlier game. I know they were disappointed with how they played, so they will be looking for revenge.

“They had a disappointing result in the Trophy at the weekend and I am sure their manager will be looking for a big response from his players.

“But I am just interested in what we are doing.

“We will have a look at what we did at the weekend and see if we can tweak a few things to make sure we are not too predictable.

“It’s another important game for us but it looks like we came through Saturday with a clean bill of health.

“We have a few selection decisions to make and we must make sure we make the right choices.”
