Diamonds maintained their one-point advantage at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central with an impressive 4-2 victory at Aylesbury last Saturday.

And the manager insists his team must have the “right attitude” if they are to keep their impressive form going against a Beaconsfield side who drew 1-1 at the Dog & Duck in November.

“We just need to keep the good form going,” Peaks said.

“Beaconsfield have been good for a while now and they gave us a very good game in the draw at our place so we have to be wary of that.

“It’s another tough game away from home so we have to take nothing for granted and go there with the right attitude.”

Diamonds have hit the goal trail in their last two matches after the win at Aylesbury came following an 8-1 drubbing of bottom side North Greenford United.

“We have played a good brand of football recently,” Peaks acknowledged.

“We have created chances and probably taken a higher percentage of them than we were before.

“We have good attacking options and scoring goals is a very good habit to be in.

“I am the sort of manager who likes to keep things tight defensively but with the sort of players we have, it’s important to ensure we do attack well.”

Diamonds will be assessing the fitness of captain Richard Bunting as he nurses an ankle injury but Connor Kennedy is available again after a one-match ban while recent signing Nabil Shariff is set to be back in training in the next two weeks after having a minor operation on his lung.
