Diamonds were held to a 0-0 draw at Fleet Town on Saturday as their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central was cut to four points.

Kings Langley are now the nearest challengers and are the visitors to the Dog & Duck next Saturday.

But, before that, Diamonds take on third-placed St Ives Town at home tomorrow (Tuesday) night to kick-off what could be a crucial few days in the race for the title.

However, Peaks believes every game is going to big for his team between now and the end of the season as they bid for a second successive promotion.

“I think the draw at the weekend has set us up nicely for the games this week,” the Diamonds boss said.

“It’s a big one tomorrow against St Ives but the fact is that every game is going to be huge for us from now on, simply because of the position we are in.

“It’s all about trying to get another three points on the board. Our performances recently have been very good and we want that to continue.

“We got a good point on the road on Saturday and we can make it look even better if we win our home games.

“We just have to keep trying to put points on the board and keep ticking these matches off.”
