Having shipped 12 goals in their opening two fixtures in Division One of the MDH Teamwear Northants Combination, Burton United produced a stunning display to all-but wipe out their goal deficit as they thrashed Gretton 11-1.

And it was a day to remember for Jamie Smith and Lewis McIntyre as the former hit a double hat-trick while the latter grabbed the other five. James Wilson scored Gretton’s consolation.

Ise Lodge and Corby Locomotives continue to lead the way at the top.

Ise Lodge beat Denton 3-2 thanks to Chris Clarke (2) and Neil Tavener as Jordan Ticker and Ryan Machardie replied.

Locomotives travelled to Wootton and returned with a 1-0 success in what was the lowest scoring match of the weekend.

Medbourne beat Stanwick 2-1 with Tom Marchant on target for the latter while, elsewhere, Orchard Park beat Finedon Volta 3-1 and Kislingbury won by the same scoreline at Corby Everards.

JK Blisworth maintained their good start to the Premier Division campaign as Connor Brown, Wayne Spicer, Michael Brown, Chris Culley and Ross Arundell sealed a 5-0 victory over Corby S&L Khalsa.

Blisworth now have a three-point lead after Welford Victoria slipped to 3-0 defeat at reigning champions Harpole, who had an own-goal and Josh Winters (2) on target.

Milton moved into third after a 4-2 win at Weldon United. Paul Simpson’s double had brought Weldon level at 2-2 but the visitors scored two more to claim the points.

Lee Pridmore’s brace and further goals from Steve Thain, William Wild and Mark Sinclair handed Corby Pegasus a 5-0 victory over Heyford.

It was a tale of three penalties at Moulton as Kettering Nomads picked up a point.

Adam Selling put the hosts ahead before Nomads pulled level from the spot midway through the half and saw a second goal chalked off for offside.

A second penalty on 76 minutes saw Nomads take a deserved lead but they were denied when Adam Langley handled in the box. Chris Dickens stepped up and slotted home the equaliser.

Craig Pugh, Andrew Watts, and Paul Carroll all netted for Roade in their 3-0 home win over Ringstead.

Corby Redstar are top of Division Two after a 4-2 success over Wilby as Danny McShefferty hit a hat-trick and George Mackay added the other.

Nathan Ward and Shane Muir were the scorers as Strip Mills won 2-1 at Rising Sun while the clash between Daventry Comms and Wollaston Victoria ended goalless.

Old Grammarians ended a run of eight games without a win stretching back to January in convincing style thanks to a 4-1 victory at Clipston.

Weedon are the early pacesetters in Division Three as they claimed a third win in a row.

Ben Drinkwater (2), David Drinkwater and Paul Currier sealed a 4-2 success over Wellingborough Gleneagles, who replied through Paul Ekins and Marcus Dowman.

Daventry Drayton Grange were 2-1 winners over Great Doddington (Glen Plummer) as Jed Brennan and Adam Cox sealed the points.

Ferrers are third after a big 5-0 win at SPA as Leigh Butler scored twice and Gary Broadway, Craig Smith and Tom Chilman also netted.

Kia Robertson and Matthew Watts both scored for FC Titchmarsh but it proved to no avail they went down 7-2 at home to Grange Park Rangers while Walgrave also picked up points on the road as they won 2-0 at West Haddon.

Borough Alliance made it three wins from three in Division Four as they won 4-1 at Corby Hellenic, who replied through Gary Norman.

Corby Ravens had Dean Mitchell and Anthony Lamond on target but were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Kingswood while Phil Chapman and Scott Hamblin outscored Tony Bridge to give Desborough & Rothwell the points at Wilbarston.

Peter Davis and Michael Girvan found the net for Corby United but it wasn’t enough as Albion Vikings sealed a 4-2 verdict.

AFC Rothwell finally found their scoring boots with Tom Capps, Will Linnett and Ben Williams all hitting the target in the 3-0 win over Higham Town.

In the Reserve Premier Division, Andrew McGrenaghan scored both goals as Kettering Nomads won 2-0 at Milton.

The highest scoring match in the division was between Weldon United and Roade with the former coming out on top 6-5.

Chris Madden, James Ferguson and Richard Chwaszcza put Weldon 3-2 up at the break before Mark Bradley (2) and a late winner from Steve Brydon sealed a dramatic win.

Northampton Spencer thrashed ON Chenecks A 9-0 with Jordan Richards (4) and Craig Sampson (3) among the scorers while Chris Martin and Russ Aitken both scored twice as Brixworth beat JK Blisworth.

Bugbrooke A moved top on goal difference after beating Pegasus 5-1 and Harpole returned from Ringstead with a 3-1 success.

Tiago Costa scored twice and an own-goal also counted for Corby Locomotives as they beat Wootton (Kyle Toseland) 3-1 and there was a win for Old Grammarians as Avnish Jani and Callum Worrall completed a 2-0 success over Weldon A.

Bugbrooke B got off the mark with a 5-3 verdict over Medbourne and Stanion Quantum Print continued their fine start with an 8-0 demolition of Orchard Park.

Wilby retained top spot in Reserve Division Two as Luke Hughes and Paul Jones sealed a 2-0 win over Spratton and both Harborough A and Wollaston were able to take advantage and climb above Spratton in the table.

Gavan Boddington (2) helped Wollaston see off Stanwick 3-1 while the day belonged to James Blackwell at Harborough as his hat-trick helped them to a 4-1 success over Corby Redstar.

Hellenic remain rooted to the bottom after a 2-1 derby-day defeat to Strip Mills. Danny McCarthy and Daniel Ward netted for the victors while Daniel Brown struck Hellenic’s consolation.

FC Titchmarsh enjoyed a second successive win on the road as they won 6-1 at Higham while Finedon Volta succumbed to a 5-0 defeat at home to West Haddon.
