Weldon United’s unbeaten start to the MDH Teamwear Northants Combination Premier Division was ended as Brixworth won the top-of-the-table clash 2-1 to move one point clear at the summit.
Elsewhere, Earls Barton’s good start continued as they beat Corby S&L Khalsa 2-0 while Welford Victoria’s charge up the table continued with a 1-0 win over JK Blisworth.
Corby Pegasus are the only team in the top flight without a win but they claimed a 1-1 draw with Roade as Scott Grant cancelled out Andrew Watts’ goal.
Daniel Surridge hit the only goal as Harpole beat Kettering Nomads while Brian Farrell and Stuart Macmichael were on target in Stanion Redstar’s 2-0 success over Milton.
Ringstead Rangers, meanwhile, saw off Corby DGL Locomotives 3-1 thanks to Ashley Marsden, Alastair Melia and Daniel Tarr.

Burton United are still going well and they thrashed Wilby 6-0 thanks to Jamie Baston-Fane, Stephen Hendry, Marc Jackson, Jamie Smith, Lewis McIntyre and Brendan Tyrell.
There were also wins for Old Grammarians, who beat Stanwick Rovers 2-0, and Wollaston Victoria who saw off Clipston 4-0.
