There was a fantastic weekend of action at Corby Town’s Steel Park stadium as the Weetabix Youth League held their finals days.
Hundreds of family and friends descended on the Steelmen’s home ground to watch the youngsters battle it out for the Knockout Cups at five age groups while the Plate finals, introduced this season for first-round losers in the cups, were also played out.
Each final was dedicated to the memory of Ben Walker, who collapsed and died while playing in a match for Thrapston Town under-15s recently with a minute’s applause being observed before each game.
Don’t miss a picture special from the weekend’s action in Thursday’s Northamptonshire Telegraph.
